A truck accident closed down Highway 152 for hours this morning, when a big rig transporting frozen foods struck a telephone pole.

California Highway Patrol was first notified about the accident at 5 a.m. As officials worked to remove the truck, officers closed down the highway making children have to find an alternate route to school.

Officials had the highway blocked until noon, according to CHP dispatchers. Due to the crash blocking some bus routes for Gilroy Unified School District, some students were not picked up, according to district officials.

There were no reported injuries in the accident. The accident is still being investigated by California Highway Patrol.
